Youth Summer Program

Coming Soon - Summer Bike Camp:

Weeks June 22nd and July 13th

Camp focus: Cycling skills (both on and off road), bicycle mechanics, nature stewardship.

Camper ages: 8-12

Camp runs from 8:30am - 5pm daily.

We will explore ALL facets of cycling including riding in town and on mountain biking trails. Each day will include one session in the bike shop learning bicycle maintenance skills and one outdoor riding session. Daily expeditions will include riding all throughout Durham on our extensive cycling trails as well as visiting various sites to ride off road. By the end of the camp kids will have a strong foundation of cycling skills both on and off-road. They will also have the ability to fix their own bike!

All Participants will need to bring their own bike and helmet. Campers should already have a strong foundation in bike riding and be strong enough to ride their bike up to 7 miles. It is preferred but not required that the campers have bicycles with gears (not BMX bikes)

In addition to the Camp Focus, every camp may also include:

  • Team Building Games

  • Exercise and Fitness

  • Mountain Bike Trail Design and Building

  • Leave-No-Trace Ethics Education

  • Journaling

Our Camps Guiding Principles - Set in a supportive and nurturing environment, activities are designed to educate campers about various outdoor bicycle riding skills and/or bicycle mechanics skills. We will also challenge them in an effort to foster confidence and personal growth.  With trust and respect as corner stones of these sessions, we create a positive learning environment, enabling campers to gain a comfort and understanding of themselves, others, and the great outdoors.

Participants will need to provide their own bikes, helmets, lunches, and snacks.

Individual Registration: $325 - Registration Opening Soon
